How you impacted
Israel in 2023

In 2023, 100% of your donations to bless Israel & the Jewish people were distributed to 83 different Gateway partners in 15 countries around the world.

Especially in a year when Israel suffered its worse crisis since its founding in 1948, it is so important for you to know the specific impact your donations made. Here are some of the stories of how you helped convey the love of Jesus in Israel and the nations.

Discipleship & Equipping

Discipleship & Equipping

One of the main ministries God gave to the Jewish people was to “teach (lead) the nations.” Isaiah 2:3 says:

“Many peoples will come and say, ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us His ways, so that we may walk in His paths.’ The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”

Our Jewish ministry partners are discipling, equipping, and teaching their own Jewish brothers and sisters and teaching Gentiles of every ethnicity as well. They are training people for ministry leadership, helping them grow in their personal lives, and empowering leaders who are working in the marketplace in Israel to bring a Kingdom-influence in their careers.

In 2023, your gifts helped one of our long-time ministry partners provide expert, pro-bono legal aid to over 350 families. This partner was also able to provide critical legal services to 130 families who were displaced by the War in Gaza. Some of those they helped were survivors of the horrific Hamas attacks on October 7. They were even able to help children who were orphaned gain legal rights to their parents’ estate, after much of the family’s legal documents were destroyed as their home was burned by Hamas gunmen.

You also helped a large Messianic congregation from Kiev, Ukraine, train leaders in the 10+ congregations across Europe that they have planted since the War in Ukraine started in 2022.

Beyond these, here are some more ways your giving empowered discipleship:

  • Leadership training for the Arab Christian community in Nazareth
  • Creation of a brand-new Messianic kid’s Bible
  • Investing in the growth of a leadership camp in Israel that has trained more than 100,000 Israeli youth in the past few years.

Congregation Planting

Congregation Planting

The local synagogue is a cornerstone of the Jewish world. Every neighborhood in Israel includes a synagogue that is a short walk from residents’ homes. Very few of these are Messianic Jewish synagogues, however. Real estate in Israel is some of the most expensive in the world, making it very difficult for a small Messianic congregation to expand.

However, in 2023, your donations helped expand a Messianic congregation in the north of Israel to its THIRD location. This dynamic congregation is reaching the millions of Russian-background Israelis, and now has a newly renovated space in a very ideal neighborhood, thanks in part to you!

Another partner in Tel Aviv was able to expand through your generosity by widening the reach of their work in rehabilitating women who were enslaved in prostitution in Israel. This ministry trains women in fashion and clothing design, then allows them to help sell the products to Israelis, giving them valuable economic and business skills.

Similarly, your giving helped plant, grow, or expand ministry by:

  • Blessing an influential, growing worship ministry that reaches Israelis and Arabs through YouTube and their house of prayer outside of Jerusalem
  • Helping with the purchase of a large vehicle for a Jerusalem-based ministry that has planted numerous congregations across Israel in the past few years
  • Aiding the launch of a new center for Israel in Europe, which will train church leaders on how to reach out to the Jewish communities of Europe from their hub in Marseille, France.

Outreach & Sharing the love of Jesus

Outreach & Sharing the love of Jesus

“Evangelism” in the Jewish world is a very negative word. It conjures up painful memories of forced “conversion” to Christianity pre-World War II, or feelings that Christians only love Jewish people in an effort to make them “Christian.”

The Apostle Paul was clear in Romans 1:16 when he said “I am not ashamed of this Good News about Messiah Jesus. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—to the Jew first and also the Gentile.” HOW we exemplify this can come through compassionate, direct invitations to follow Jesus, or by serving.

In 2023, you helped make a large impact by sowing into a brand new outreach center in the heart of New York City. Our ministry partner there just opened an incredibly fruitful coffee shop and art gallery just a few minutes walk from the largest percentage Jewish university in America. These innovative Jewish believers are pioneering new ways of reaching their Jewish friends in the heart of a progressive American landscape.

Here are a few more ways your gifts went “to the Jew first” in 2023:

  • Helping relocate an innovative and very fruitful sports outreach ministry to a new location in Israel
  • Donating to the creation of a film-level production of new Messianic Jewish videos for children, led by the oldest Jewish ministry in America
  • Empowering a Jewish-led ministry in Israel to expand their outreach into a very sensitive Arab country, where countless Arab Muslims are coming to faith in Jesus
  • Giving support to an American Messianic congregation that hosted a Passover Seder in Washington, D.C., where numerous non-Jesus believing Jews came and heard the Good News of Yeshua

Compassion & Relief

Compassion & Relief

Israel has never suffered as traumatic of a year as it did in 2023, when Hamas terrorists attacked and killed over 1,200 Israelis on October 7. The outpouring of love from the Christian community has been incredible. You are part of this story, and we are so thankful you sacrificially gave to help in Israel’s darkest hour.

You helped us distribute 35 gifts of more than $440,000. Your compassion donations resulted in these incredible moments:

  • Blessing the families of six hostages abducted to Gaza by helping them meet with politicians and dignitaries in Washington, D.C. and Brussels (the headquarters for the European Union) to apply pressure for the release of the hostages
  • A Messianic Jewish relief ministry processed over $17 million worth of goods to over 300 different Israeli organizations, benefitting nearly 100,000 Israelis in need.
  • Donations and Gateway Church volunteers helped to pack thousands of daily items to fly to Israel on a chartered 747
  • Supporting Israel’s only Messianic moshav (living community), as they hosted 150 displaced Israelis, many of them Orthodox Jewish.
  • Aiding a congregation in Tel Aviv as they drove generators to the Gaza border communities destroyed by Hamas, as well as volunteered as police officers in Tel Aviv when rockets were raining down on the city after October 7.

Though the need in Israel continues, these incredible ministries have historic opportunities to serve their fellow Israeli citizens with unconditional love in the name of Yeshua/Jesus. You have played a part in upholding them during this traumatic time, giving them the strength to minister to their friends, neighbors and fellow Israelis.

Recalling these testimonies, I am amazed at how faithful God was during this traumatic and challenging past year. And I am inspired at how our bold Jewish partners around the world continue to shine the light of Yeshua into difficult, dark places.

Though we have tens of other testimonies from your giving, I hope that you can get a small picture of how important your financial support of ministry to Israel and the Jewish people has been this past year. Just as it says in Psalm 122: “May all who love Jerusalem prosper!” – and that includes YOU!

We pray that you would find joy in the fruit of your faithfully sown seeds “to the Jew first,” and that God would continue to show His faithfulness to you in the days ahead!
