2020 Recap

2020
Recap

In 2020, your donations to bless Israel and the Jewish people were 100% distributed to over 60 of our different partners in 14 countries around the world.

It is so important for you to know how much of an impact your donations made to these specific partners. Here are some of the stories of how you were able to help bring the love of Jesus in Israel and beyond.

Discipleship & Equipping

Two of our close partners in Israel are unique ministries that work with both Jewish and Arab Israeli believers in Jesus. These ministries are committed to a multi-year process of discipling believers all over Israel to be successful in their business and/or congregations.

Less than 2% of Israelis believe in Jesus, so succeeding in starting businesses or ministries is not easy.

Your donations have helped these ministries put numerous Jewish and Arab followers of Jesus through much-needed business classes, translate leadership curriculum into Arabic, and directly bless congregations with funds to equip them with discipleship materials. Blessing Israel does not only mean blessing Jewish Israel, but Arab Israel as well (20% of the population). You did just that with your donations in 2020!

Congregation Planting

Congregation Planting

Most congregation planting around the world was put on hold when the global pandemic set in.

One of our oldest Jewish ministry partners was able to adapt to this new reality by focusing on how they could help the congregations they have already planted in Eastern Europe.

Your giving provided them much-needed equipment to begin streaming their services online, and to record new online discipleship content. Because of this, numerous small congregations were able to continue discipling their new Jewish believers, and host outreaches virtually.

Compassion Outreach

Sometimes great challenges present great opportunities to be a witness in society.

One of our close partners was approved to become one of only twenty "Emergency Shelter Homes" in Israel, which receive children evacuated from abusive or destructive homes. Because of your donations, Gateway donated the full down-payment amount needed to purchase the new home necessary to launch this safe haven in 2021. This is a historic event for the Messianic community in Israel!

We helped another ministry purchase a new truck, used to bring relief supplies to numerous Holocaust survivors and others affected by the strict lockdowns in Israel. These gifts are helping provide entirely new ways for ministries in Israel to share the love of Jesus!

Evangelistic Outreach

One of our close partners in Latin America has earned great favor with their state prison system in recent years.

Through your donations, we were able to give them the money needed to bless a large prison in South America with heaters and blankets for their winter months. They also provided inmates with food, haircuts, clothing, and gifts for their families at home.

Another of our partners in Europe was able to host a summer youth camp, where many young, Jewish teenagers came and made decisions to put their faith in Jesus as their Messiah and be immersed in the waters of baptism.

Through your giving, you helped them take this Good News "to the Jew first" directly!

COVID-19 Relief

COVID-19 Relief

The Coronavirus pandemic left many around the world without work, food, and in desperate situations. Your gifts have enabled multiple congregations and ministries to survive and thrive during this crisis.

In Jerusalem, your donations helped a Messianic preschool remain open. Another distribution helped an Israel-wide counseling center provide much-needed counseling to Israelis dealing with the stress of COVID.

Yet another provided meals for Holocaust survivors, and another supported a ministry discipling and reaching young Israelis in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

In Tel Aviv, you supported seventeen ministry employees who take the Good News of Jesus to the streets of Israel. In America, your gifts helped provide a proper Jewish funeral for an elderly Jewish woman who just recently put her faith in Jesus before the end of her life.

Even as I retell these stories, I am amazed at how faithful God was during this past year. I hope that you can get a small picture of how important your financial support of ministry to Israel and the Jewish people has been this past year. Just as it says in Psalm 122: "May all who love Jerusalem prosper!" - and that includes YOU!

We pray that you would find joy in the fruit of your faithfully sown seeds "to the Jew first," and that God would continue to show His faithfulness to you in the days ahead!
