How you impacted
Israel in 2022

In 2022, 100% of your donations to bless Israel & the Jewish people were distributed to 63 different Gateway partners in 15 countries around the world. It is so important for you to know the specific impact your donations made, so here are some of the stories of how you helped convey the love of Jesus in Israel and the nations.

Discipleship & Equipping

One of the main ministries God gave to the Jewish people was to “teach the nations.” Isaiah 2:3 says:

“Many peoples will come and say, ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us His ways, so that we may walk in His paths.’ The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”

Our Jewish ministry partners are discipling, equipping, and teaching their own Jewish brothers and sisters and teaching Gentiles of every ethnicity as well. They are training people for ministry leadership, helping them grow in their personal lives, and guiding other leaders to deepen their commitment to the Jewish people.

In 2022, your gifts helped one of our long-time ministry partners host a historic conference in Nairobi, Kenya for an African convocation on how the church and Messianic Jewish community can work more closely together for unity and redemption on earth.

You also helped a Jesus-centered counseling center open a brand new location in northern Israel. In 2022, they counseled over 700 Israelis, most between the ages of 20-40.

Beyond these, here are some more ways your giving empowered discipleship:

  • The continuation and growth of Europe’s only accredited seminary program in Messianic Jewish studies in Poland
  • Leadership training for the Arab Christian community in Nazareth
  • Prison discipleship for Jewish prisoners in Argentina
  • Free legal services to over 200 families facing legal persecution in Israel

Congregation Planting

Congregation Planting

Finding a location for a church or congregation in America is relatively painless. In Israel, however, having a secure and consistent space to meet for Jewish followers of Jesus is not easy.

Many congregations face eviction, government-legal persecution, or astronomical price hurdles.

In 2022, you helped purchase a newly-renovated $1 million building for one of our fruitful partners in northern Israel. This ministry reaches Jewish and Arab drug addicts off the streets, puts them in recovery, and disciples them. They have over 20 congregations or home groups in Israel, and even some in Europe.

Facing a harsh eviction in 2021 and early 2022, God opened the door for them to buy a congregation space in the heart of one of Israel’s largest cities. The most beautiful part of this miracle was that they purchased the building from an Arab Christian church that could no longer use the space. It was a true Kingdom transaction of Jews and Gentiles blessing one another for the advancement of God’s plans on earth.

Similarly, your giving helped plant, grow, or expand ministry by:

  • Helping eliminate property debt for a Messianic congregation in North Carolina
  • Renovating a Messianic congregation in the heart of Odessa, Ukraine, which became the main hub for all churches and ministries in the city during the war
  • Remodeling a building in Buenos Aires into a new meeting space for a Messianic congregation and Jewish ministry
  • Contributing to help improve a base for Christian volunteers in Israel to stay while they serve Israel’s Orthodox Jewish farmers

Outreach & Sharing the love of Jesus

Outreach & Sharing the love of Jesus

“Evangelism” in the Jewish world is a very negative word. It conjures up painful memories of forced “conversion” to Christianity pre-World War II, or feelings that Christians only love Jewish people in an effort to make them “Christian.”

The Apostle Paul was clear in Romans 1:16 when he said “I am not ashamed of this Good News about Messiah Jesus. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—to the Jew first and also the Gentile.” HOW we exemplify this can come through compassionate, direct invitations to follow Jesus, or by serving.

Though all of Gateway’s donations “to the Jew first” go to support the sharing of the love of Jesus with the Jewish people, here are a few ways your gifts did this specifically in 2022:

  • Supporting an all-day worship outreach in Dallas, in the heart of the Jewish community, during the Jewish holiday of Sukkot
  • Sending a well-known high school motivational speaker to Israel and Ukraine to share Biblical principles with teenagers in public schools
  • Helping provide over 5,000 Bibles with the New Testament to over 17,000 people receiving relief in Ukraine during the war
  • Translating innovative Israeli worship music into Farsi to reach Iranians with the Good News of Jesus
  • Supporting an outreach event in the Galilee region of Israel for hundreds of Israelis

Compassion & Relief

Compassion & Relief

The year of 2022 was filled with incredible tumult around the world. Specifically, nations or areas with large Jewish populations experienced violence, disaster, and hardship.

Just down the road from our offices in DFW, a Jewish synagogue was attacked by a terrorist who – thankfully – did not achieve his goal of killing innocent Jews. In Ukraine, home to one of the largest Jewish populations on earth, the Russian army forced thousands of Jewish people to flee. In Israel, many of these Ukrainian refugees faced incredible challenges immigrating and integrating to their new lives in Israel.

Speaking of Ukraine, your donations enabled five different Jewish ministries to minister to thousands of Jewish people in Ukraine. You helped provide:

  • Over 200 electric blankets
  • 500+ wood stoves
  • Five large water tanks and two water wells
  • Transportation out of war zones for over 5000 people
  • Flights and assistance to 65 Messianic Jewish refugees immigrating to Israel
  • Eight gasoline generators
  • One such generator was donated to a large children’s hospital in Ukraine, where it is still running as the country faces power outages every day. Your donations are literally helping save the lives of children!

Because of you, refugees in Israel received washers and dryers, apartments to live in rent-free, food, free legal help in gaining citizenship, and community support. You also helped provide free dental care to hundreds of Israelis, all in the loving name of Yeshua/Jesus.

Recalling these testimonies, I am amazed at how faithful God was during this unpredictable past year. And I am amazed at how our bold Jewish partners around the world continue to shine the light of Yeshua into difficult, dark places.

Though we have many other testimonies from your giving, I hope that you can get a small picture of how important your financial support of ministry to Israel and the Jewish people has been this past year. Just as it says in Psalm 122: “May all who love Jerusalem prosper!” – and that includes YOU!

We pray that you would find joy in the fruit of your faithfully sown seeds “to the Jew first,” and that God would continue to show His faithfulness to you in the days ahead!
