Contribute to Jewish Outreach

In part four of our acronym "PEACE" series, we ask you to consider the idea of contributing to the work of the gospel—specifically supporting Messianic Jewish ministries who are boldly sharing the Good News of their Messiah within Jewish communities.

“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith” Galatians 6:10

At Gateway Church, we talk openly about good stewardship. We desire to see every believer acknowledge God’s ownership and our role as managers of the finances, talents, and relationships God has entrusted to us. This walk of faith and prayer is a balanced one between the principle of stewardship and generosity that Paul wrote about in Galatians. When it comes right down to it, Paul said that we should be concerned with those in the household of faith first:“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers” (Galatians 6:10).

So, a very important way of blessing Israel is by financially giving!  Making giving to the Jew first at Gateway Church has radically blessed us. Pastor Robert has been very clear on this publicly, and constantly encourages other pastors to make financial support of Messianic ministries a key value in their churches.

Recall Genesis 12:3, our foundational verse for this series: “I will bless those who bless you.” We hear constant testimonies from individuals and churches about how unexpectedly blessed they have been since financially giving to support Jewish ministry.

If your church does not give to Jewish ministries, then schedule a meeting with your pastor to explain your heart on the matter. If you do not know which organizations to trust or how to give, we would be happy to suggest some biblically-based Messianic ministries that we know are actively sharing the Good News of Messiah with their Jewish brothers and sisters. And we are happy to help you communicate with your pastor on why this is important, too!

But, as in every decision, start with prayer! Here’s a simple prayer to get started:

“Lord, what are you telling me right now as it relates to supporting Messianic Jewish ministry? What do you want me to do? Give me sensitivity to hear your voice, and grant me faith and courage to believe and obey.”

We know that your obedience to God’s leading will be supernaturally blessed!
